About Jack Bangerter
Jack Bangerter’s watercolors approach the varied and limitless subject matter of life’s experiences. Spontaneity is a main focus of Bangerter’s creation process as paintings are composed and painted on location as action unfolds. Additional content ranges from personal interactions and conversations to the viewing of live events via internet streaming, which he calls “Virtual Plein Air.” Bangerter earned his Master of Fine Arts degree from the National Academy of Fine Art (Kunstakademiet, KHiO) in Oslo, Norway, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History from Northern Arizona University and pursued additional Arts studies at Rijksuniversiteit and Academie Minerva in Groningen, Netherlands. Bangerter currently lives and works in Los Angeles and has exhibited throughout the Western United States as well as Norway.
